The Popular Show Season Four Unveils the Soldiers Party

From the very beginning of Campaign 4, fresh DM Brennan Lee Mulligan has kept fans guessing with rich lore, a wide array of characters, and a gripping narrative featuring celestial beings, demons, and dark forces increasing in strength within the urban setting.

Warning: Key plot points for the third episode of Campaign 4 lie ahead.

The Soldiers Table Revealed

The latest chapter finished on a huge suspense moment and presented the first table of heroes who will separate from the primary party to undertake their own adventure, apart from the remaining groups.

The Soldiers table features Teor (portrayed by the voice actor), the agile character (Laura), Tyranny (Whitney), Wicander (Sam Riegel), and Kattigan Vale (Robbie Daymond).

Dividing the Cast

With 13 cast members, it was evident from the outset that maintaining everyone at one table would be unfeasible.

Hence, the opening chapters of this story serve as an Introduction, connecting the characters’ stories before splitting into three separate parties: Fighters, Planners, and Explorers.

The Nature of the Combat Party

According to the Dungeon Master, the Soldiers table is for players who enjoy a classically intense fight-heavy gameplay experience where diplomatic options are few and far between.

Initially, figures such as the squeamish cleric Wicander might seem out of place, but the actions of the third episode show why these specific adventurers are best suited for the combat party.

Motivations for Departure

First, the team understands precisely where to go next after a violent initial meeting with the antagonists.

An old friend of Thjazi—whose demise kicked off the campaign’s events—exploited the enemy for his personal gain, entering the hidden lair, striking the rogue, and taking all the enchanted items to dispose of.

Casimir then paid off his liabilities and fled to a Halovar stronghouse in Gormalay, Timmony, beyond Dol-Makjar, with Cyd Pridesire pursuing him.

Personal Motivations

Additionally, each member has a specific drive to depart the metropolitan area:

  • The rogue, as Thjazi’s partner and closest confidant, wants revenge.
  • The adventurer is familiar with the region and warns that it is a hostile location.
  • Tyranny and The cleric, having disobeyed his family’s wishes to kill the target and instead saved him, have no safe haven.
  • Yet, their status as important members in the powerful family could enable the group reach places they usually can’t.
  • Furthermore, The fighter swore a unbreakable promise to The savior for his rescue and will now follow him everywhere.

Pursued by Authorities

Finally, all of them are wanted by the rulers that govern the city for a range of causes, making lingering locally no longer safe:

  • The agile adventurer and Kattigan are known criminals.
  • The warrior and The healer betrayed the powerful family and the army of fiends they are partnered with.
  • The target is marked for death by the clan.

This leaves them no alternative but to head to Timmony in search of Casimir.

Upcoming Developments

According to episode three’s follow-up content, we discover that the combat party won’t be around next week, leaving the rest of the participants to assemble the Seekers and Schemers parties.

Fans can anticipate finding out which adventurers will be assigned to which table in the story’s last Overture episode, released on the upcoming Thursday.
